Great Start to 2014
New Owners Clinic - Welcome to the Family!





The New Year got off to a great start this past week with our January 2014 New Owners Clinic.  

As the #1 Volume Honda Dealer in Texas* we just have to "Go Big" and that starts with our ever so popular welcome to the Family!  Every other month we invite a few (hundred) folks over for some real southern hospitality as we officially welcome our new vehicle owners to the McDavid Frisco Family with some "down home" Bar-B-Que.  

With just a quick make over in the garage that really is clean enough to eat off the floor (we actually use tables) and some of our favorite tunes playing over the speakers, we are ready to get the party started.  Our guest line up for some of Texas Best B-B-Q (Dickey's Style) and mix in a few questions along the way from our knowledgeable staff and Tech-Savvy vendors.



As introductions get under way General Sales Manager Rob Tharp officially welcomes our guest and announces the McDavid Frisco Team. At the helm of the largest Honda service department in the U.S., Director of Service Randy Strawn is flanked by Service Manager Tom Bernard and Service Drive Manager Matt Kail. 

Together they lead a talented group of Service Advisors with over 200 years automotive repair experience. In the shop 10 Master Service technicians, the highest level of professional Honda service certification, join ranks with all the McDavid Service members to deliver the best overall service experience.



Tom Bernard recaps just a few of the service amenities that include; both a dedicated indoor and outdoor children's play area, Media room and numerous HD-TV's, computers and Wi-Fi internet access, a newly expanded concourse style waiting area, Free shuttle service, early bird drop-off, express pay, extended hours of operation, rentals and much more.

Matt Kail moves into the maintenance segment of our gathering and takes new owners through a quick review of the major service codes they might experience.  The recent cold snap lends a great segue into the (TPMS) Tire Pressure Monitoring System as the cold weather will often lower the tire pressure measured on board.  A summary of the multipurpose inspections, fluids and gasoline recommendations, and warranties round out the balance of the technical service information.

The dialogue then transitions as we open up a time for all of the new owners to meet with service advisors to answer any questions (one-on-one) and to get a rare look under the cars at all the great technology built into every new Honda.  Back by popular demand our team also demonstrates deployment of an inflatable airbag system (crowd favorite) as we close out the program.
